The optimum time to start a child with voice lessons is at the age of 5, when a child's hearing is. the most acute. Teaching a child to sing "correctly" at that age, gives them a technique that can last a lifetime. Karen's student Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Jiminy Cricket on Sept 8) if a perfect example. Young children also pick up tried and true acting lessons quickly, because they are used to playing 

"pretend". Plus the experience of putting on a show like this gets them starting feeling so good about 

themselves!

       The Jr. Company cast of Peter Pan will be putting on their own show, playing all of the characters, including the leads. It's going to be precious! We hope your child can join us.

     After over 50 shows at CCT, Peter Pan is still one of our all time favorites for children. The music is beautiful (or so much fun!), the story is charming, the leads are endearing (or hysterical) and the children get a lot of attention, all while playing super fun characters. 

     No one needs to audition for our Company Classes. All of our students get expert training in voice, acting and dance techniques and they all perform wonderfully by showtime. Because the kids are well aware of how much they're learning, their self esteem moves them along even more.  Every child gets a part in our performances. The class is closed once all parts are filled. We love our CCT kids!

      STAGES is written and directed by CCT's Director, Karen Tobey. It is a heartfelt look at the lives of teenagers in high school. The "real" problems they deal with and the experiences and comradery that not only help them navigate through their tough times, but help prepare them for the adult world. Some songs are beautiful and poignant, others are 

brash and bold. The vocalists must be at an advanced level to do justice to these songs. The actors must portray depth to keep the messages honest. The dances are intense and very cool.
