A group of vibrant, energetic young people, diverse, rich and poor alike, converge on 46th Street to audition for the chance to study at the famous New York High School of Performing Arts. Fame is the bittersweet and ultimately inspiring story of growing up and following dreams through grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, insight, and beautiful music the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.
